Ever wondered what your granny did before expensive brand names and heaps of chemicals ruled the cleaning world?

Natural cleaning products are really effective – and great if you suffer from any allergies, eye running or sniffles that harsh chemicals can cause.

So here are just a few examples of the cleaning power of vinegar around the house.

Pop 3 tablespoons of vinegar in the bottom of the dishwasher every time you run it instead of adding rinse aid. I promise you it will make your glasses sparkle every time!

Use a 50/50 dilution of white wine vinegar and water to clean out the oven and remove smells.

Put half a cup of vinegar in a bowl with a cup of water and heat on high power for one minute. Allow it to cook for thirty seconds, then wipe out with paper towels.

Mix a small amount of vinegar with an equal amount of coarse salt. Wipe the cups out with paper towels to remove coffee and tea stains.

Mix three tablespoons of white vinegar, a pint of water and ½ teaspoon liquid soap and keep it in a squeezy bottle. It makes a perfect liquid to clean your windows and get streak-free results – just remember to shake it before every use.

If you want to know how to clean anything without using commercial products, feel free to ask and I will try to help.
