Just your average dose of eBay insanity

Although Cheetos are banned here in the UK for containing preservatives that are banned, they continue to be the best selling cheese flavoured snack in the US. In fact, In 2010, Cheetos was ranked as the top selling brand of cheese puffs in its primary market of the United States and worldwide the annual retail sales totaled a mind-boggling $4 billion.

Recently, a few special Cheetos have been sold for ludicrous amounts of money due to the way they are shaped. The shape in which the Cheetos come in a packet are in no way predetermined. So surely having one of these rare Cheetos is pure luck?

However, a few eagle eyed consumers could see a subtle resemblance to a famous person, or even in this case an animal, and get a great deal of money from selling it on websites like eBay such as this Cheeto shaped like Harambe.

What's actually funny is that there are a large group of people who regularly buy and sell valuable Cheetos. The most expensive Cheeto ever sold was the Harambe Cheeto, selling at just $99,000.

Well, apart from internet memes getting their fair share of income, they now have to compete with a Cheeto listed on eBay that bears a strong resemblance to Arnold Schwarzenegger.

As you can see in the image above, this particular Cheeto is listed for $10,000 - which is roughly £7000. And for that price, you can get a used car - so that's a great deal of money for something that you're supposed to eat. Although it's listed for $10,000, the seller has made it possible for potential buyers to list a price that suits them.

The listing description reads: "Flaming hot Limón Cheetos! One of a kind! Arnold Schwarzenegger Mr. Olympia pose! Single Cheeto bag not included. Not to be eaten... stored as a collectible item." This item could be the perfect gift for a Schwarzenegger fanatic.

An important thing to mention is that the seller is based in Las Vegas, so it might be a good idea to get in touch with the seller about shipping fees before emptying your wallet for the product delivery.

This is not the only Cheeto currently being sold on eBay for a ridiculous asking price. There are a few on the website such as this one that looks like a giraffe eating leaves. This particular one costs an alarming $485, roughly equating to £350 in the UK.

There's even a Cheeto that's shaped like a High Boot selling for $3,100, shipping from Indonesia.

I guess it's safe to say that the world's gone crazy. Cheetos should be a few dollars, not a few thousand dollars.
