#ASSEENONTV Deep fried spaghetti Bolognese

My entry into Robin Ho's #ASSEENONTV challenge

FoodDevour, the only real TV show I watch is Grand Tour and old Top Gear, so when Robin announced this challenge, I was concerned but then I realized there was only one true option and that was deep fried spaghetti Bolognese, us Americans can deep fry anything so, how hard could it be?

Unlike Richard Hammond I have done this properly! Instead of taking handfuls of spaghetti Bolognese and dropping them into a deep frier where they come out looking like a fried mess, I decided to make mine look more appetizing. Not only did I want it to look better, I wanted it to taste good as well and not have the spaghetti be hard and crunchy. I started by making a homemade Bolognese sauce and combining that with the spaghetti. After cooling a bit, I put the spaghetti into some ring molds to make my shape and then into the freezer they went.

After some time in the freezer, I dipped them in flour, egg and bread crumbs seasoned with Pecorino Romano cheese, I done this twice for each one to give them a nice crunchy exterior. After they were fried, I added some parmesan cheese and some Bolognese sauce for dipping.

These turned out better than I had hoped for honestly! The spaghetti inside was still tender and nice, not chewy or crunchy like I feared and with the extra sauce for dipping my deep-fried spaghetti Bolognese turned out to be, the best.... in the world!

I must say this challenge was a lot of fun to both cook and write and that is all thanks to our friend Robin Ho, thanks for this wonderful challenge! FoodDevour I hope you all participate in this fun challenge as well; I will leave a link to the rules down below.

    • I've been wanting to make a spaghetti burger on garlic toast with a big meatball squished into a patty and mozzarella cheese on top. I've been trying to figure out how to make a puck of spaghetti to go on it, and this might be the ticket!

    You really got me here Mate. Did not even Think of The Grand Tour when I came up with #AsSeenOnTV. I absolutely love it! Maybe can get this to the Guys. It could be Fun. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
