Ben & Jerry’s are launching sunflower butter ice cream

There’s a crème brûlée cookie flavor, folks

If you’re an avid ice cream consumer but don’t eat dairy, we have some good news for you.

Ben & Jerry’s are launching a new line of dairy-free frozen desserts. Unusually, these are made with sunflower butter.

Three flavours are now available in the US: ‘milk’ and cookies, crème brûlée cookie and mint chocolate cookie. The tubs have a yellow lid and are stamped with a sunflower.

“Plant-based eating is one of the biggest trends in the world and ice cream lovers everywhere have shouted for non-dairy/vegan options that rise to the levels of Ben & Jerry’s euphoric awesomeness,” said CEO Matthew McCarthy.

“I am over-the-moon excited that our Flavor Gurus have churned out something funky and chunky that is nothing short of spectacular.”

Have you tried the new sunflower butter ice cream? What did you think?

  • Thanks for posting a cheerful story .

Sunflower seeds are high in magnesium, which may help alleviate constipation, and may also help muscles like the heart to function properly.

And sunflowers are very easy to grow.

I think I might have a little taste.

Sunflowers grow well in many parts of Australia, and around the world.

I wonder if Jeremy would like to grow some sunflowers on his farm ?
