With my wife being out of town, having already started her new job down in Florida, I've been left to my own devices! I ended up going out for dinner with the neighbors to one of my all time favorites; Big Chow Grill.

I had been eating at this place for years, back when it was called Chow Baby Grill, and I lived roughly a mile away. Over the years, I had perfected loading up my bowl off the buffet line with as much food as I could heap high onto it. I would do the same with the proteins, having figured out I could fill a bowl of sliced sausage pretty full, and then cap it with chicken to hold it all together on the way to the grill to be cooked. Sadly, I moved a little further north, and it hasn't been a very practical area to drive to for dinner.

The bowl I make makes absolutely no sense, but I put the same ingredients in it every time I go, and I've never tried another recipe other than mine, because it's just so damn good! Follow along with me as I take you down the buffet to build my bowl.

The buffet awaits!

The buffet awaits!

You can start with starches, such as noodles and rice. I always use a combo of brown rice and lo mein noodles! I go back towards the end of my bowl and put the noodles on top to hold my heaping bowl together.

I don't get much from this section. sprouts, mushrooms, and cabbage go into the bowl here.

From here I fill a small bowl with slices of sausage until it's spilling over, and then I cap it with a heap of chopped up chicken, to hold it all together!

I keep the seasonings simple on the proteins with just crushed red pepper for some heat, and a little season salt.

Once you're all done building your bowl, you place it on the counter with your table's stick in it (with your name written on the back) and they'll fry it up on their really big and cool looking griddle. It comes out pretty fast, which is a good thing, because I get hungry thinking about my creation!

My bowl waiting to go on the flat top! This was my second bowl, so I went a little small this go around.

And this is where the magic happens!

I'm going to be sad moving away from Atlanta, GA and Bog Chow Grill! My bowl always comes out so damn good, and I'm actually craving it some more! If you're ever in the area, I HIGHLY recommend you stop here for a big dinner. You will leave full, and smiling for a really good price! And, if you're not too adventurous, you can try out one of the recipes on the walls.

My bowl of awesomeness!
